The following is my personal opinion:
People just need to learn how and what to keep in storage.
- Keep only the best of the best of the best items in your storage. You should probably be able to fit all the perfect inscriptions/mods on just 1 storage page, even if you're a heavy-weight farmer who brings in about 50-60 gold items a day.
- The only dyes you should keep in storage are the expensive ones. Black, White and maybe Red.
- You shouldn't keep Greens and perfectly modded Gold weapons in storage at all. Either find a use for them on one of your Heros, use them on one of your alt. characters, or sell them right away.
- Consumables are ok to keep in storage, especially tomes, but if you can, try to keep them in the inventories of the characters you use most often.
- The only collectables you should have in storage are the ones you can trade for Superior Salvage Kits and Superior Identification Kits. Sell or salvage the rest of them.
-Try not to stockpile crafting materials. Keep your basic crafting supplies at around 100 of each if you can, and your rare crafting materials at around 50 of each if you can. Sell to the NPC trader when the prices are high and let them pile up to 250 of each when the NPC trader price is low. Any more than 250 of each is a waste of space (and money).
- Everytime you enter a town or outpost, empty out your character's inventory to the best of your ability.
Following the above guidelines, you shouldn't have any storage problems at all unless you're addicted to buying armor sets for your characters, even if you only have 1 or 2 of the Guild Wars games on your account.
